Raisins - 1/2 cup
Large Carrot - 1
Cold water - 3 tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Lettuce leaves - 5
Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp french dressing
Wash lettuce and crisp in freezer. Soak raisins in hot water for five minutes, drain and refrigerate.
Slice carrot into long, thin pieces, each the thickness of a matchstick.
Rinse in cold water and place in a pan. Add water and salt and heat. Lower flame, cover and gently simmer for about five minutes. Cool and refrigerate.
Just before serving, mix raisins and carrot together.
Arrange lettuce leaves in a dish as shown in the photograph.
Mix together mayonnaise and french dressing. Toss salad in dressing at the table.
