Applesauce Surprise Cake

Ingredients:

• Butter - 1/2 cup
• Sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups
• Eggs - 3
• Flour - 2 cups (sifted)
• Baking soda - 1 tsp
• Cinnamon - 1 tsp
• Salt - 1/2 tsp
• Nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
• Cloves - 1
• Applesauce - 1 1/2 cups
• Nuts - 1/2 cup (chopped)

Recipe Directions:  

• Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. 
• Add applesauce, nuts and worms and mix well. Pour into greased 10 inch tube pan and bake at 325" F for 50 minutes. Serve the cake warm.
